DJ-X11T/E Firmware update

This software (firmware) is for applicable model(s) indicated above. The software detailed below is provided to those who agree to the terms of the software license. When the user selects "Click here to agree to license and begin download", agreement to the terms of the software license is inferred and the user is bound by the terms of Alinco,Inc (hereafter "Alinco") License Agreement. Be sure that you have read and understand the terms of the license agreement before initiating the download of this software. Please verify the version of your firmware first in the table at the bottom of this page. You do not have to do this operation if your firmware serial is the same or higher than current firmware version posted below. To verify the version, key-lock the unit by pressing FUNC key for 2 seconds, then press [7] key for 10 times consecutive. Numbers shown on the display is the serial of the firmware. Just press any key to go back to the operation mode. IMPORTANTEither an ERW-7 or ERW-8 connection cable is necessary to perform this update. These cables can be used for the Clone-utility (ERW-7) and/or remote-control software (ERW-8) of DJ-X11 that are available for free. A fatal failure may occur if the unit is powered down or loses power while updating the firmware. Please be sure to check the battery to make sure it is fully charged or DC power supply is stable before start operating. Never power down the device or power-source while updating. Regardless of warranty status, repair for such failure may be charged.This program is version-sensitive. Please be sure to use correct firmware for T / E / EG models respectively. Customized memory data will remain but set-mode parameters will be reset and go back to the default after the update. DownloadPlease download the Zip file from the link below. Unzip it and put the installer file to a directory of your preference.Installation and Uninstallation* Common operation for both ERW-7/ERW-81: Please uninstall older versions through Add / Remove Programs in Windows Control Panel BEFORE installing the new version. Click the installation file and follow the instruction. A short-cut icon will be displayed on the desktop. 2: Please be sure to install a driver software of ERW-7/8 before using it. 3: Please check Windows system menu>device manager to make sure the port assignment of the cable. [Port(COM and LPT)>USB Serial Port (COM*)] * Using ERW-7 Connect the provided AC adapter to the external DC port of the DJ-X11 as a power source during the update. Powering with the battery results higher rate of failure. Do not use this adapter for receiving though as it generates switching noises that bother your comfortable listening. Connect the ERW-7 cable to the earphone-port of DJ-X11. Turn on the DJ-X11 by pressing and holding the MONI key to enter to the clone mode. "CLONE 57600pbs" will be displayed. Turn the dial by holding the MONI key enables to select 38400bps and 57600bps. Slower speed takes more time but the risk of communication error decreases. It goes back to 57600bps automatically after the update is done. Click on the short-cut icon, the program window will pop up. Set the COM port assignment correctly. Press Start key on the program. DJ-X11's LED will flash while updating the firmware. It may last several minutes. PUT IT ON THE DESK FIRMLY AND NEVER TOUCH ANYTHING until the update is completed. When it successfully finishes, the unit will automatically be reset and goes back to the operation mode. The program will show "Complete". Remove the cable and shut down the program. This operation is required just once. * Using ERW-8 Please be advised that you can't retry with using ERW-8 cable and you should send the unit to Alinco services for reprogramming when a failure occurs. In order to avoid your further inconvenience, please do not perform the update when you are planning to use the unit in events like air-shows soon. It is known that the error rate becomes much higher when the battery charge is low, therefore please be sure to full-charge the battery pack immediately before you start the update, and also connect the AC-adapter to the charging stand during the operation. LED of the charging stand should be turned off or blinking at this condition, but not remain lit. If so, please wait until charge is complete and LED turns off or starts blinking (Blinking LED is normal). Please connect EDC-174 and a PC using ERW-8 cable. Turn on the unit and enter to the set mode. Select "enabled" at the Remote COM port setting parameter under Key assignment menu. Put the unit to the EDC-174 stand. Click on the short-cut icon, the program window will pop up. Set the COM port assignment correctly. Press Start key on the program. DJ-X11's LED will flash while updating the firmware. It may last a few minute. PUT IT ON THE DESK FIRMLY AND NEVER TOUCH ANYTHING until the update is done. When the update is complete, the unit will automatically be reset and goes back to the operation mode. The program will show "Complete". Shut down the program. This operation is required just once. * In case of failure If a failure happens and the unit freezes, please follow below operation to retry. If the retry doesn't work, please contact Alinco service for help. Remove all source of power including battery-pack and DC-cable. Take a short break for 10 seconds or more. Reconnect the power source. A green LED is lit. Restart the program and press the [Start] button on the program. If retry works, the program restart the update operation and both red/green LED on the unit will illuminate alternatively. When the update is complete, the unit will automatically be reset and goes back to the operation mode. The program will show "Complete". Remove the cable and shut down the program. * For those who are not interested in purchasing the PC-cable Kindly contact your Alinco dealer for their service-policies of firmware update * I have checked the serial and mine needs to be updated. We may update firmware version ID due to production related reasons, however, in such case we don't post new firmware here because it's worthless that you update it.
